What stays on your device
- The finder works in your browser. The country and activity you pick go into the page address (like
#gb-training) so you can share the link; they aren't sent to us. - The emergency card and the policy wording checker run entirely in your browser. What you type isn't uploaded.
- The checklists remember your ticks in your browser's local storage, on your device only. Clear your browser data to remove them.
What other services see
- Hosting: the site is served by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes your IP address and basic request details to deliver pages and protect the site. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
- Fonts: our fonts load from Google Fonts, so Google receives your IP address when a page loads. See Google's privacy policy.
- Insurers: when you follow a link to an insurer, their own privacy policy applies.
How we count visits
To see which pages are useful and where readers come from (search engines, AI assistants like ChatGPT or Claude, other sites), our server records each page view as an anonymous row in Cloudflare Workers Analytics Engine. It holds:
- the page address, without anything after the
#; - the name of the site that linked to us (like
chatgpt.com), not the full link; - the
utm_sourcetag if the link had one; - your country, as Cloudflare works it out.
We don't record your IP address or browser details, set cookies, or run any tracking script in your browser, so we can't tell visits by the same person apart. For automated visitors (search engine and AI crawlers) we also keep their user agent, so we can tell which service sent them. Cloudflare keeps this data for three months.
What we don't do
- No cookies, tracking scripts, tracking pixels or ads.
- No accounts or sign-up forms.
- We don't sell or share personal data.
